Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt Selects Vancouvercenter for Clark County Expansion

VANCOUVER, Wash. – September 27, 2005 – Vancouvercenter today signed its third commercial tenant in six weeks for the North Office Tower. Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier multi-service law firms, chose the downtown development for its strategic expansion in Clark County. The Portland-based firm is moving its Vancouver offices from their current location at 1111 Main Street.

Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt’s lease encompasses 6,104 square feet on the sixth floor of Vancouvercenter’s North Office Tower. This space will accommodate the three new attorneys the firm has hired in the past four months, as well as additional associates it intends to bring on in the months ahead to support the firm’s growth.

“We are expanding our Vancouver office to respond to the extraordinary growth occurring in Southwest Washington, particularly in real estate and construction,” said Mark Long, managing partner of Schwabe. “Our goal is to anticipate the needs of Vancouver area businesses and be well positioned to serve their needs.”

With Schwabe’s sixth-floor office, the Vancouvercenter has now leased approximately 55 percent of the available commercial space in its North Office Tower. Other tenants include Hilton Hotels, Management Recruiters Inc., Otak Inc., Rocketshop, the Washington Department of Transportation and Wells Fargo Private Client Services.

“This is an exciting time in Vancouver’s history, and we are proud that a firm of Schwabe’s caliber has chosen Vancouvercenter as its base for strategic growth in the region,” said Nawzad Othman, owner’s representative for Vandevco, the developer of Vancouvercenter. “Momentum for downtown Vancouver is clearly building, and as industry leaders like Schwabe continue to expand here, we move ever closer to realizing the city’s rebirth.”

Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt was represented by Dan Swift of CB Richard Ellis, while Tamara Fuller and Kirk Robertson from NAI-Norris, Beggs and Simpson represented Vancouvercenter.
