VANCOUVER, Wash. – October 21, 2004 – Vancouvercenter announced today that the popularity of its North Office Tower continues to take off, with Rocketshop leasing nearly 6,000 square feet of office space on the sixth floor of the mixed-use development. Rocketshop, an advertising agency that specializes in consumer electronics, electronic entertainment and business-to-business products and services, is expected to move into its Vancouvercenter office in the first quarter of 2005.
Rocketshop currently employs 14 people in downtown Vancouver, and its 5,957 square-foot office at Vancouvercenter will support the company’s continued growth. Rocketshop executives anticipate hiring up to four additional employees by the time they occupy their Vancouvercenter office. The company is designing its new office with the assistance of architecture, design and engineering firm Otak, also a Vancouvercenter tenant.
“We wanted our next downtown office to accommodate future growth, express our personal style and provide an inspirational environment for employees. Vancouvercenter met those criteria perfectly,” said Dana Larson, Rocketshop vice president and chief marketing officer. “Rocketshop has always supported the revitalization of downtown Vancouver; we started here, have stayed here through three moves and are excited to be part of its continued rebirth.”
Rocketshop is the fourth commercial tenant for Vancouvercenter. The 16,661 square feet leased to date encompasses 2,000sf for Hilton Hotels, 5,284sf for Otak and 3,420sf for Management Recruiters Inc. Both Otak and Management Recruiters Inc. relocated from existing space in downtown Vancouver, as did Rocketshop.
