VANCOUVER, Wash. – October 20, 2004 – Hilton Hotels has begun moving in to its new office at Vancouvercenter, representatives from Hilton and Vancouvercenter announced today. Hilton Hotels’ new office encompasses 2,000 square feet in the downtown mixed-use development.
Hilton Hotels’ new office will house the sales and marketing team for the seven-story hotel and conference center being built across the street from Vancouvercenter. The 226-room hotel and 30,000-square-foot conference center are expected to open in June 2005.
Before moving into their new office, the Hilton Hotels team, including J.J. Wills and hotel general manager Gerry Link, was previously operating in other office space at the Vancouvercenter. Norris, Beggs and Simpson is the leasing agent for Vancouvercenter.
Hilton is one of four commercial tenants for Vancouvercenter. To date, the Vancouvercenter has leased nearly 16 percent of its 105,000 available square-feet of office and retail space. In addition to the 2,000sf for Hilton Hotels, Rocketshop has leased 5,957sf, Otak Inc. has leased 5,284sf and Management Recruiters Inc. has leased 3,420sf. Rocketshop, Otak and Management Recruiters Inc. all relocated from other offices in downtown Vancouver.
